An unhealthy colon
Colonic Enemas
The process of colon cleansing has been used since the time of the Essenes when they used a hollow reed to allow river water to flow into the colon. Cleaning the colon has always been thought to assist in maintaining health, like changing the oil in your car protects the engine.
The purpose of a colonic enema is to clean the colon, thereby strengthening the muscles to permit better absorption of nutrients, and detoxification of the lymph system in the abdominal cavity. The process is best done gently, allowing a retraining of the muscles and a renewed possibility of healing abnormal shapes of the colon, such as strictures, pockets and prolapses.
The process usually takes less than an hour and can be accomplished in a variety of ways. At home, you could use a two-quart enema bag or a colema board. Professionally, a trained registered nurse will use a gravity fed, continuous flow colonic machine, which is a safe, clean, and thorough alternative to home enemas. In the state of New Jersey, colonics must be ordered by a medical doctor and administered by a registered nurse.
Don’t use an enema if you are experiencing internal bleeding (dark red blood that looks like coffee grounds), recurring urinary tract infections, or high blood pressure that can’t be controlled by medication.
Infrared has a healing effect even in a cold sauna

Infrared Sauna
Infrared heaters employ radiant heat which penetrates the body’s tissues to a depth of more than one and one-half inches. Its energy output is tuned to correspond closely to the body’s own energy, which facilitates the absorption of close to 93% of the infrared waves that reach the skin. As a result, infrared heaters warm you to a greater depth and more efficiently than conventional saunas. The lower heat of an infrared sauna is safer for those with cardiovascular risk factors or fragile health, because these temperatures don’t dramatically elevate heart rate and blood pressure.
Infrared energy created by this type of sauna may induce up to three times the volume of sweat produced by a traditional sauna. Sweating utilizes the body’s largest organ of elimination, the skin. Increased blood circulation stimulates sweat glands, releasing built up toxins and waste. This method successfully eliminates accumulations of potentially carcinogenic heavy metals (lead, mercury, zinc, nickel, cadmium) as well as alcohol, nicotine, sodium, sulfuric acid and cholesterol. Electro-magnetic toxins from high tension power lines, cell phones and computer display terminals can be anti doted by infrared radiant heat.
Susan suggests the use of the infrared sauna a few times per week to help you release stress, control weight, improve elasticity of the skin, bring mental clarity, detoxify the body, treat muscle aches, help arthritis and rheumatism and strengthen the cardiovascular system.
